Skye Weavers
Tucked away in Glendale near Neist Point, Skye Weavers is one of Skye’s most distinctive craft destinations, producing scarves, throws, tweed, clothing and homewares using bicycle pedal-powered weaving looms. Inspired by the colours, textures and landscapes of the island, every piece is designed and woven on-site using natural woollen yarns, with many products incorporating local Skye wool. Visitors can watch the weaving process in action, learn about traditional textile-making techniques and even have a go at operating the loom themselves, making it a fascinating experience as well as a shop. The combination of craftsmanship, sustainability and creativity has made Skye Weavers a favourite stop for visitors exploring the west side of the island.
